IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR PARENTS

Hello HPA Parents,

We pray that this update finds you all safe and healthy. We all have been facing uncertainty and drastic changes in our lives recently. COVID-19 continues to be a fast-moving event. Hope Preparatory Academy is continuing to evaluate our options going forward with the health and well-being of our students, employees, and community remaining the top priority.

In consideration of these developments and to comply with state and federal regulations, HPA is announcing the following actions:

  • All HPA students and employees are instructed to stay home until April 15, 2020 but virtual instruction is in effect. With our school having online learning capabilities, all students are to begin working online from home the week following Spring Break. Our cleaning staff has been notified to give the school a deep cleansing while students and employees are out. Monday, March 23rd is a scheduled Student Holiday/ Teacher workday.
  • Students are to report to class online from 7:20 A.M.-2:20 P.M. in Edgenuity and Florida Virtual School on Tuesday, Mar 24th through April 15, 2020. Students should do at least one (1) hour per subject each school day. Students can proceed further ahead and complete more than one hour per subject per day.
  • Teachers will be available through Edgenuity email from 7:20 A.M.-2:20 P.M. daily to assist students through April 15.
  • Attendance will be taken as the student login to their classes virtually. Parents ensure your child is attending all classes daily.

FOR PARENTS
1. Log into your Parent Portal on Edgenuity.com.
2. Click on Attendance Log.
3. Your username is your email that’s on file with the school. (If you have forgotten your password, click on forgot password link and follow the prompts to make a new password).

In order to ensure our students finish the school year successfully, we will need all parents to truly partner with us and be actively involved in your child’s learning. It will be required that all students finish their courses at 100% as they did in the first semester in order to be promoted to the next grade.
