Phalice Odom is a second year teacher at Hope Preparatory Academy, returning as our math professor. She is the wife of Ralph, Jr. and proud mother to three sons, Ralph III, and identical twins Reese and Ryan. Her son, Ralph Odom III, was the first graduate of Hope Preparatory Academy and currently attends Southeastern University.
Phalice received her Bachelor of Science degree from Florida Agriculture and Mechanical University, (FAMU) College of Education in 1995. While attending FAMU, she became a member of the renowned Marching 100 and the finely established Gamma Alpha Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
Phalice has served in numerous capacities within the field of education such as a teacher, team leader of her department, facilitator, and academic coach in both the Orange and Lake County school districts. She has taught hundreds of students and mentored many teachers throughout her 23-year career.
When she is not in the classroom, she can be found serving as a member of Hope International Church, attending a sporting event in support of her three sons or students, or spending time with her family. Phalice is currently working on her first children’s book loosely based on the many adventures she has both experienced and witnessed. She is a motivator and an encourager, and believes that “hard work done smart, yields great work that sparks!”
